Introduction

The PhotoEcoz Facebook App allows PhotoEcoz users to share their photos with their Facebook friends. After linking a Facebook account to your PhotoEcoz account using the App, you and your friends will be able to browse your photoEcoz photos. Photo Collections with the Public and "Friends" Ecoz privacy will be visible to your facebook friends.

Setup

Adding the App
- Add the app by clicking on the following link:Facebook App.
- You will be required to login to facebook, then you will be presented with the Welcome Page
- Click on the "Sign me up" link will allow you to add the Facebook App.
- Authorize the PhotoEcoz App
Registering for a PhotoEcoz Account
- If you do not have a PhotoEcoz Account you can choose to register by clicking on the register link.
- Without a photoEcoz account you will only be able to browse photos of your friends. You will not have your own photo Gallery.

Friends Activity Page

Friends Activity

This page displays photo activity for your photoEcoz friends. This can include comments on photos, rating changes and photo uploads. Each photo is captioned with the date of the activity and the owner of the photo. The activity that occurred is also displayed with the photo. Clicking on the owner's name will take you to their photo gallery. Clicking on the photo will take you to the collection view page and allow you to browse that photo and the other photos in that collection.

Gallery Page

The gallery page displays allows you to showcase your photo collections. Collections are created and photos uploaded via the photoEcoz website. The gallery page shows all public collections and all collections with the "Friends" Ecoz privacy setting. Your facebook friends can view your gallery by adding the PhotoEcoz Facebook App. There is no requirement for them to have a photoEcoz account to browse your gallery. However, they will need to add the App to browse your gallery page.

The Cover Photo for each collection is displayed along with a caption for the Collection name and the creation date. Clicking on a photo will take the user to the corresponding Collection View Page.

The user's photoEcoz gallery URL is displayed in the upper right hand corner.

Collection View Page

The Collection View Page displays the photos in a particular collection. The title, description and date taken are shown beneath each photo. Any comments made on the photos will also be displayed below the photo.

Navigation breadcrumb links are shown at the top of the collection view page.

If you are the owner of the collection being viewed there will be "Publish" link. This link will allow the owner of the collection to publish a short story news feed about this collection to their Facebook friends. The published feed will include a thumbnail of the cover photo and any other text the user would like to add.

Settings Page

The Settings Page provides general information on how to configure the settings for the PhotoEcoz Facebook App. If the user has not registered and linked to a PhotoEcoz account, they will be able to from the "Link PhotoEcoz Account" subheading.

The Slideshow Box subheading will allow the user to add a slideshow to their Facebook Profile Page. They can also choose which photo collection will be displayed in the slideshow.

The PhotoEcoz Tab subheading gives instructions on how to add a Profile Tab to your Profile Page. Friends that visit your profile page will be able to view your PhotoEcoz Tab. This will display photo activity on all your photoEcoz photos.

The Bookmark Tab subheading gives instructions on how to add a bookmark to the PhotoEcoz App. Clicking on the bookmark will take you to your Friends Activity Page.

Profile Tab

The Profile Tab must be manually added by the profile page owner. After it has been added, viewers of the profile page will see the photo activity belonging to the profile owner. Clicking on any of the photos will take the viewer to the collection view page.

Slideshow

The slideshow can be configured from the Settings Page. First user must add the slideshow his/her profile page by clicking the "Add to Profile" button. Next the user must select the collection to play in the slideshow from the drop down menu. Clicking on the set button selects the currently displayed item for the slideshow.

The slideshow randomly chooses the photos from the selected photo collection.
